About Me

If it makes you laugh,
if it makes you cry,
if it rips out your heart,
that’s a good picture.

—Eddie Adams

I first picked up a camera 12 years ago, just after relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area to ride the first dot-com boom as an HTML developer. Two degrees from UC Berkeley (& then some!) later and I now live in a loft in San Francisco with my husband Scott (also a photographer) and our three cats.

While my background in web and graphic design certainly helped me develop my eye for photography, ultimately it is photography that is as natural to me as breathing; our relationship immediate and deep as love at first sight. I want to share that creative passion with you.

I am always in motion, always thinking, with a positive attitude, boundless energy and a quick wit (you are not required to laugh at my jokes, though I love it when you do!). I like to think that I’m easy to work with—I enjoy sitting back and watching a scene develop just as much as I love to interact with my clients during a shoot to help them relax and have fun. It’s amazing how much better photos are when clients are comfortable and happy in front of the camera.

To me, inspiration comes from the idea that a photo captures a moment in time that can never exist again. How special, to be the one that captures that moment! I specialize in music photography (live events, portraits and promo shots), weddings, engagements, portraits/headshots & families, but I don’t ever limit myself.

Let me know what you have in mind and I’d love to help you realize your creative vision!
