“One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he couldn’t do.”
I first picked up a camera a decade ago, right after I graduated from high school in Los Angeles and ran away to be an HTML developer in the bay area. Now I’m a UC Berkeley alum (2006) and live in a loft in San Francisco with my husband Scott (also a photographer) and our three cats. My background in web and graphic design certainly helped me develop my eye for photography, though to be honest it has all come quite naturally to me.
Photography is truly my passion in life, and I am an energetic, positive person. I like to think that I’m easy to work with–I enjoy sitting back and watching a scene develop, rather than have a hand in every part of the process.
To me, inspiration comes from the idea that a photo captures a moment in time that can never exist again. How special, to be the one that captures that moment! I specialize in natural light photography of people, animals, nature and music. I work part-time for Rockscope, a music blog based in Los Angeles, and feel connected with my true purpose when shooting concerts.
